The curatorial programme and exhibition design for COAM’s (Madrid Board of Architects) stand at the 2020 ARCO Art Fair deals with the issue of the physical detail in 1:1 scale as a possible autonomous vehicle of architectural content. A content that surpasses the functional performance of a fragment of building (façade, interior finishes, decoration…), opening a discussion that deals with some of the technical, conceptual or ideological concerns putt forward through the act of detailing in architecture. A collective deliberation presented with a video installation interviewing ten Madrid architectural firms, located amidst fragments of works by Sáenz de Oiza, Jaque and Perpiñá, amongst other full-scale details.
